The Voltaire Design Liverpool International Horse Show is proud to announce that Old Lodge Stud will be sponsoring the CSI3* Grand Prix, due to be held on the last day of the show, the 3rd January 2022. With many top riders expected to be coming in for the prestigious Grand Prix, it is lining up to be hotly contested title once again.
Following the support from the Old Lodge Stud team during the 2019 Liverpool International Horse Show, they have chosen to extend their sponsorship to the Grand Prix class. The Old Lodge Stud have not only supported the Liverpool International Horse Show, they have also had a winner in the 2018 Grand Prix, with Shane Breen onboard the striking stallion by Vigo D Arsouilles Stx, “Golden Hawk”. Prince Torki of the Old Lodge Stud is also a long standing supporter of Bolesworth Elite Auctions, having invested regularly in high profile progeny from top mares including Funky Music, Tinka’s Serenade and Loughview Loulou.

Old Lodge Stud is set in the beautiful Ashdown Forest, in the South East of England, and is internationally recognised for producing exceptional showjumping horses with the protentional to succeed at the very highest level. Established in 1997, Old Lodge Stud have gone on to become a multi award winning stud for their achievements in breeding top quality horses. They have produced and sold horses that have gone on to compete at national, international and Olympic level in showjumping, dressage and eventing.
Earlier this week we got a chance to catch up with Old Lodge Stud to get their thoughts on the Voltaire Design Liverpool International Horse Show and the reason behind their decision to sponsor the Grand Prix this year; “Prince Torki is pleased to announce that Old Lodge and Sultan Stables will be sponsoring the Grand Prix at the Liverpool Horse Show. This prestigious show is one of his favourites on the showjumping calendar.”
They went on to credit Nina Barbour and her team for always putting on an amazing show with quality horses and international riders. Like many of the sponsors of the Liverpool International Horse Show, Old Lodge Stud recognise the “excellence of the hospitality offered and that all the guests are very well looked after while at the show.”
Each year of the Liverpool International we try to have a different course designer to create a feature of each year’s Grand Prix, creating new challenges and varied courses for both horse and rider. This year we are delighted to have Louis Koninckx building the Grand Prix track here at the Liverpool International. Louis has previously built at both FEI World Cup finals and the European Championships. We are excited to see what Louis builds this year and what the line-up of talented horse and rider combinations make of it.
