Organisers of the TheraPlateUK Liverpool International Horse Show can confirm that the chestnut mare Flora de Mariposa, ridden by France’s Felicie Bertrand, was retired from the competition because of sudden onset forelimb lameness whilst jumping and as a precaution has been transported from the arena for assessment on site. Following examination by our onsite veterinary team we are encouraged by the absence of any visible injury. The horse has been moved to Leahurst Equine Hospital for further overnight observation.
